Milena Sales

Milena Sales is a cultural strategist with expertise in philanthropy, communications, and engagement for nonprofit organizations and mission-driven companies worldwide. An agile problem-solver and creative thinker, she is a trusted advisor who helps clients advance their mission in the rapidly evolving cultural and creative sectors. Since 2012, she has collaborated with organizations including The World Around, Artis, the Daniel and Estrellita Brodsky Foundation, the Centre Pompidou Foundation, and VIA Art Fund, among others. Before establishing her independent practice, Milena was Director of External Affairs at the American Academy in Rome, where she led communications, marketing, events, and donor engagement, working closely with leadership and the Board across Rome and New York. Earlier in her career, she led communications at Christie’s, where she partnered with a global team of publicists and executives on major auction initiatives for the postwar and contemporary art department. A graduate of Bard College, she currently serves as Executive Director and Board Secretary of the American Friends of Covent Garden (The Royal Ballet & Opera) and is a founding board member of the artist residency and museum La Nueva Fábrica in Antigua Guatemala.
