Beatrice Galilee is founder and executive director of The World Around and curates its programs, commissions, and public initiatives. She leads The World Around’s institutional and brand partnerships which include MoMA, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, Meta, Unifor and MillerKnoll. Trained in architecture and architectural history, she served as the first curator of contemporary architecture and design at The Metropolitan Museum of Art where she developed the museum’s contemporary architecture and design program through exhibitions, commissions, and acquisitions. Her curatorial career includes Chief Curator of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, curator at the Gwangju Design Biennale and curator at Shenzhen–Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism. She curated the Design Museum’s Beazley Designs of the Year (2019) and is the author of Radical Architecture of the Future (2021, Phaidon).
