On the occasion of Earth Day 2026, global nonprofit organization The World Around will open applications for the third cycle of its Young Climate Prize, an accelerator that supports the next generation of designers living and working on the front lines of the climate crisis. Each program cycle, a cohort of young people aged 25 and under leading impactful, self-initiated climate action projects is selected through a global open call. Each participant is paired with a mentor whose experience, expertise, and network can help advance their initiatives through one-on-one sessions. Alongside personalized mentorship, the full cohort participates in the Young Climate Prize Design Academy: a weekly series of masterclasses designed to help them develop their personal and professional skills, as well as strengthen, scale, and deepen the impact of their projects.
