Ben Rawlingson Plant is director of BRP Consulting, and has three decades of experience working within and advising cultural organizations on reputation management and communications. As deputy director of global public affairs and communications, Ben sat on the executive team for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and provided strategic oversight and direction to all aspects of Guggenheim global communications.

Prior to joining the Guggenheim, Ben spent 19 years with Brunswick Group, an international strategic advisory firm, where he directed a global team as managing partner of Brunswick Arts and grew the agency’s cultural business in Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. He has supervised communications campaigns for numerous high-profile arts projects, including over 25 pavilions and collateral projects at the Venice Art and Architecture Biennales.

Ben is a trustee of the Rambert Dance School, London, founder and chair of the Helen Scott Lidgett Award, and serves on the advisory board of the architecture and design nonprofit The World Around. He regularly lectures on cultural strategy at the School of Curatorial Studies, Venice, Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and New York, and the University of Zurich. Before joining Brunswick Arts in 2001, he held positions at the Edinburgh International Festival, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Dulwich Picture Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, and Tate.

Ben earned a Master of Arts degree in art history from the University of St. Andrews, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, and Arrowsic, Maine.
