Filbert Minja is a Tanzanian conservationist, photographer, and documentary filmmaker using visual storytelling to ignite climate awareness and community-led action. Based in Arusha, he serves as the AfriFOODLinks Youth Ambassador, empowering youth, farmers, and vendors to drive climate-resilient food systems.  

Filbert is the founder of ReEarth Gallery, a pan-African platform reshaping climate narratives through arts exhibitions and participatory filmmaking. In 2024, he was awarded a National Geographic Grant under the Extern Program in partnership with The Nature Conservancy. In 2025, he became a beVisioneers Fellow with Mercedes-Benz and joined Green Rising, led by Goodwall, UNICEF, Accenture, and Generation Unlimited.

His work has earned global recognition, including the Young Climate Prize (25 Under 25), Reimagine the African Narrative Fellow (NEWF), and Circular Economy Champion with ALU School of Wildlife Conservation, amplifying Africa’s voice in the global climate dialogue.


The World Around feels like a space where vision meets action. It reminds me that storytelling is about building relationships, shifting perspectives, and inspiring real movement. Being part of this community strengthens my belief that change is possible when we listen deeply, collaborate openly, and stay rooted in care for people and the planet.
