Marilyn B. Hernández

As principal of MBH Advisory, Marilyn B. Hernández leverages extensive expertise in fundraising and development to support cultural institutions and nonprofit organizations. She holds a bachelor's degree in Art History and Advertising from Boston University and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Visual Arts Administration from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education.
Previously, Marilyn served as the vice president of individual giving at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Her career includes other notable leadership roles, such as vice president for development at the American Academy in Rome and deputy chief development officer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Marilyn made significant contributions to fundraising at Columbia University Medical Center and New York City Ballet, focusing on major gifts and cultivating donor relationships.
Marilyn serves on the NYU Visual Arts Administration Alumni Council, and is an active member of The World Around’s Advisory Board and Partnership for a Modern Puerto Rico.
