DESIGNING HOPE: INVESTING IN THE YOUNG CLIMATE GENERATION
A NYC Climate Week event for The World Around Circles members presented by The World Around and Atelier Jolie, with media partner, Financial Times
September 25, 2026
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Designing Hope: Investing in the Young Climate Generation is a special NYC Climate Week gathering presented by The World Around and Atelier Jolie, with the Financial Times as media partner.
The event will bring together young climate leaders, designers, cultural voices, philanthropists and funders to consider how creativity, capital and collaboration can support the next generation shaping a more resilient future.
Speakers include visionary designer and educator Bruce Mau and Pamela Elizarrarás Acitores a former winner of The World Around’s Young Climate Prize, with further participants to be announced. Together, they will explore what meaningful investment in young people looks like, from mentorship and international networks to funding, visibility and the power of storytelling.
Centering young people not simply as the inheritors of the climate crisis, but as designers, leaders and agents of change, the conversation asks how we can move beyond imagining a better future and actively invest in those already working to build it.
Please note that this event is exclusively for members of The World Around Circles and invited guests. To join our Circles and gain access to this and future talks, private tours, intimate dinners and special gatherings, please click here.
