Es Devlin is an artist and stage designer whose work explores biodiversity, linguistic diversity, and collective AI-generated poetry. She is best known for extensive work in theater and her large-scale production designs for some of the world’s most famous music artists. Es has designed illuminated stage sets for Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and U2, as well as the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Olympic Games and the 2022 Super Bowl half-time show. She has also designed public sculptures and installations exhibited at the Tate Modern, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Serpentine Gallery, and the Imperial War Museum in London, as well as the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Es was the first woman designer of the UK Pavilion at Expo 2020. She has received numerous accolades, including a Tony Award and three Olivier Awards.
