Nguyên Hà is co-founder of arb architects Vietnam (2009) and MM Lab (2023). Her architectural practice seeks the sacred as a manifestation of memory, material, and Indigenous belief. Alongside this, she places strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research and material experimentation—merging computational techniques with local craft knowledge to explore ecological, cultural, and community-based design strategies. These efforts also serve as a response to imposed cultural-architectural paradigms that have long overshadowed local practices, asserting the value of indigenous knowledge and spatial self-determination. In 2024, Nguyên Ha received the Moira Gemmill Prize.

I deeply appreciate how The World Around actively seeks out new ideas and emerging voices through its forums. The platform not only invites young practitioners but also brings together a wide range of experts from diverse backgrounds. Listening to practices that are sometimes not yet fully recognized within the mainstream architectural discourse has opened up new ways of thinking for me about how the future of the discipline can be reshaped.
