Architect Sameep Padora established his Mumbai-based practice (sP+a) in 2007. Across a portfolio of diverse public, cultural, and residential projects, the firm has established an approach based on context and collaboration, aiming to expand the definition of “preservation” to allow tradition to evolve. The firm's work has been widely published both in India and internationally.

Alongside his architectural practice, Sameep also runs sPare, a nonprofit that researches issues of urbanization in India with a focus on housing. He is also a co-founder of the Bandra Collective, a group of six architects engaged with the design of public spaces in Mumbai. Padora serves on the academic boards of a number of educational institutions and is currently dean of the Faculty of Architecture at CEPT University in Ahmedabad, India.
