This fall, The World Around’s Chairman’s Circle visited our global cultural partner, Fondation Cartier, at its new headquarters in Paris, designed by Jean Nouvel. Members were welcomed for a guided experience that brought together the institution’s current exhibition and the architecture of the new building.

Highlights included an expert-led tour of the exhibition, alongside a closer look at Nouvel’s design approach and the spatial ideas shaping the headquarters—from its material choices and transparency to the way it frames art, light, and movement. Throughout the visit, members engaged in thoughtful conversation about the role of cultural institutions in expanding public imagination and supporting artistic and architectural experimentation.

The experience combined privileged access with meaningful exchange, underscoring our mission to connect our community with transformative ideas, leading voices, and the places where culture is made.
