The New Fondation Cartier

For more than three decades, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain has brought unparalleled cultural programming to the French capital at its renowned Jean Nouvel-designed steel and glass building on Paris’s Boulevard Raspail. This fall, the Fondation Cartier will begin its next chapter in a new, permanent exhibition space opposite the Louvre on the Place du Palais-Royal—designed, once again, by the visionary architect behind its former home. Béatrice Grenier is a Paris-based curator, writer and editor. She is currently the director of strategic projects and international programs at the Fondation Cartier, where she is curating an exhibition on the architecture of Jean Nouvel as part of the collateral program of the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale. Grenier was appointed co-curator of the inaugural exhibition of the Fondation Cartier’s new home, opening in 2025.
