Natasha Nisa Islami

Natasha Nisa Islami is a young product designer based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She is a co-founder of Keebon, a studio that transforms agricultural waste into sustainable interior products rooted in Indonesian farming traditions and cultural narratives. Collaborating closely with local farmers, Keebon develops design responses that emerge from shared knowledge and grassroots realities. The studio’s work bridges material innovation, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. Alongside Keebon, Natasha also runs Niett Design, a multidisciplinary product design studio that works across furniture, health devices, and the installation arts, driven by a curiosity for science, culture, and experimentation.
“The World Around provides a powerful source of hope for young people by creating a platform where we can share our work aimed at preserving the planet. In a time when it’s easy to feel disheartened about the future, this space helps us unite our voices, challenge existing boundaries, and inspire new ways of thinking.”
