Pynbhairoh Snidvongs Kruesopon and Charlotte Khoo are 19-year-old marine conservationist from Thailand, now living in the United States, who works with young people and coastal communities to restore Thailand’s coral reefs.

Care for Coral is a youth-led initiative combining hands-on coral restoration with environmental education, coastal cleanups and climate-resilience work in Thailand. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic, it brings young volunteers into collaboration with local communities, scientists and government partners. The project treats reef restoration not as a stand-alone technical exercise but as a long-term form of coastal stewardship, connecting the health of coral ecosystems with biodiversity and protection from waves and storms. Its education programs are intended to make marine conservation accessible to young people and give them a practical role in sustaining the reefs.

Kruesopon co-founded Care for Coral and serves as its project lead. She oversees reef-restoration projects, youth volunteers, environmental education and community engagement and coordinates partnerships among scientists, local communities and government agencies.
