Simon Denny is an artist based in Berlin, Germany. His work unpacks stories about technology through a range of media including painting, web-based media, installation, sculpture, print, and video. Simon studied at the Elam School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt. He represented New Zealand at the Venice Art Biennale in 2015 and his works are represented in major institutional collections including MoMA in New York, Kunstsammlung Nordrhein Westfalen in Düsseldorf, and the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington. Simon co-founded the artist mentoring program BPA//Berlin Program for Artists and serves as a professor of time-based media at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg
