Lawrence Kiprop Kosgei is a designer and impact entrepreneur with a Mechanical Engineering background, leading the fight against marine plastic pollution in Mombasa, Kenya. As co-founder and CEO of Twende Green Ecocycle, he turns ocean-bound plastic into eco-friendly school furniture—creating jobs and sustainable learning spaces. His work has earned awards like the Mombasa Plastics Prize, Young Climate Prize (25 under 25), Best Innovation in Mombasa (2024), and Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellowship. He also founded Swahili Design Lab, a green innovation hub.

Lawrence mentors youth through programs like Solution Safari, and hosts the Startup Hustle Podcast. A frequent speaker at events like the Africa Climate Summit, he advocates for eco-design, gamified learning, and community empowerment across Kenya’s coastline.
