Aziba Ekio is a storyteller, writer, and poet. She was part of the 2023 cohort of The World Around Young Climate Prize, a biannual award and mentorship program for under-25s that amplifies and accelerates climate-focused projects worldwide. She received the Jury Prize in recognition of the impact of her work.

In 2022, Ekio published her first poetry chapbook, I Chose Life, and was a finalist in the Abuja Literary Society national poetry competition. She has also led several advocacy campaigns on climate action and environmental rights, including Plastic Suffocates, featured internationally by Ads of the World, and Suitable Nigeria, which raises awareness of the soot crisis in the Nigerian South-South region. Her work continues to focus on telling stories that inspire collective action and reimagine a more sustainable future.
