Climate Hub Indonesia

The Climate Hub Indonesia team.

In Indonesia, a nation acutely vulnerable to rising seas yet where government action on climate remains limited, Raihan Rabbannee Hendrawan is turning to creative storytelling as a form of resistance and education. Driven by a deep commitment to climate justice, he founded Ketika Kita Muda (When We Were Young), a project that engages his peers through narratives that make the realities of climate change immediate, personal, and urgent. By combining activism with cultural expression, Raihan seeks to inspire a generation of young Indonesians to imagine—and demand—a more sustainable future.

As part of the Young Climate Prize program, Raihan was mentored by Emma Osore, founding member of BlackSpace, the urbanist collective of Black planners, architects, artists, and designers working to redefine urban environments through equity and culture. He also participated in The World Around’s Design Academy, a series of exclusive workshops designed to expand the creative and professional horizons of Young Climate Prize finalists.
