Paraná River
Sebastián López Brach is a documentary photographer and visual artist from Argentina whose work explores the relationship between humans and their environment. His recent projects examine the environmental and cultural significance of Latin America’s largest wetlands, with a particular focus on the Paraná River and Delta. Through long-term field research and immersive storytelling, López Brach documents the cascading effects of drought on local communities—disrupting electricity, fueling fires, halting transportation, and threatening agriculture. His images and narratives reveal both the scale of environmental devastation and the resilience of those adapting to a rapidly changing landscape, bringing global attention to a crisis that extends far beyond Argentina.
