About Summit 2025

On April 27, 2025, The World Around Summit returned for its sixth edition, hosted at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Curated in collaboration with MoMA’s Emilio Ambasz Institute for the Joint Study of the Built and Natural Environment, the day-long program brought together a dynamic, interdisciplinary roster of speakers at the forefront of Architecture’s Now, Near & Next. Presentations by visionary practitioners—including Anne Holtrop, Salima Naji, Douglas Cardinal, Jung Youngsun, and the winners of the Young Climate Prize Cycle 02—explored transformative ideas spanning culture, ecology, and social justice. This annual gathering once again offered a platform for bold, future-shaping projects from around the world, celebrating architecture’s capacity to address urgent planetary challenges with creativity, care, and innovation.
