The City of 1000 Tanks

City of 1,000 Tanks identifies the interrelationships between the underlying causes of floods, water scarcity and pollution in Chennai, a city situated on the east coast of India. The project offers a holistic solution to these three problems at this time when climate action is crucially needed. City of 1,000 Tanks intends to develop a Water Balance Model across the city by collecting rainwater, treating wastewater and runoff pollution, and recharging both to the underground aquifer.
